Lanisia Rhoden is a Sustainable Non-Profit Management and Business Consultant, who is passionate about Youth & Community Development and Entrepreneurship. She is committed to helping others identify and fulfil their purpose and helping NGOs globally become sustainable through Social Enterprise Development. Lanisia has over 10 years’ experience in the Non-Profit and Entrepreneurship sectors. She is the Founder and Executive Director of the Award winning Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Young Women/Men of Purpose (YWOP/YMOP) and the CEO of the Social Enterprise, Link Your Purpose (LYP), an online career development platform, helping young people to identify and fulfil their career goals. Lanisia has helped numerous individuals, start and register their NGOs and has provided guidance to many organizations to get on the path to sustainability.
Lanisia currently holds a Master of Science in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Manchester, UK, which she pursued as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar; a Certificate in NGO Professional Management from the UWI Open Campus and CPDC and a Bachelor of Science in Food Service Management from the University of Technology, Jamaica. She is a published academic writer and has had her work accepted for presentations at International Entrepreneurship Conferences.
Lanisia has received several international and local awards for her work in development, including the Leader Worth Following from LeaderCast Kingston 2019, the Gleaner Flair Distinguished Women Award in Business in 2018; the Commonwealth Youth Award for Excellence in Development Work 2013; the Governor General of Jamaica Award for Youth Leadership and Community Development for the Parish of Manchester, Jamaica in 2011. She has participated in numerous local and international Entrepreneurship and Social Enterprise Programmes and is a Social Enterprise Fellow and graduate of the DO School, Germany, a Young Founder of the Westerwelle Foundation, Berlin, alumni of the Daimler DOathon and Alumni of the SLUSH Global Impact Accelerator Programme Helsinki, Finland.
